I won this beautifully enchanting book from Goodreads Giveaways; thank you so much.

This is one of the most adorable books I have ever read for children.

The book is geared towards little girls because the main characters are girls; however, do not let that deter you; little girls and boys will love it just the same.

My Grandson needed a book to read, so I popped this one open for him. At first, he balked because It was for girls (he's 8). I told him unless he wanted to run upstairs, he had better sit here for the few
minutes his parents insisted and read to me. However, when his timer went off, he was so enthralled by
the book that he wanted to continue. I finished reading the book to him so he could go outside to
play. When he returned, I asked him about the book. "What did he think the book was about?"

Amazingly, he remembered what it was about even after playing and asked me to read it to his
little brother. :-)

This beautiful story for middle-grade readers aged 6-10 is both whimsical and wonderful.
Curious sisters Maya and Everly meet a friendly fairy and discover a glorious magical garden not far from their home. They are especially intrigued by the Gardener, a golden eagle full of love and compassion. When one little mistake has devastating results, the sisters learn much about grace and forgiveness.
This is a great springboard to discuss deeper truths with children, and the colorful illustrations are stunning! A lovely addition to your bookshelf.

Stirred

I absolutely loved this book. As a preacher of the gospel, I could immediately see the symbolism of the eagle and all that it entailed: Father, covering, protection, savior...one willing to give His life in spite of the disobedience shown. I saw how disobedience is dressed up to look appealing and beautiful and its allure of entrapment will harm us if we don't take the way of escape. I could go on and on. I tagged so many notes as I read. I was quoting scripture left and right. It was a lot to unpack in a good way.

Creative fantasy allegory

As an adult reader, I tried to figure out the allegorical pieces as I read. I don't know if children would catch on, yet I like that quality. It can be enjoyed as the story itself as well as become a launching place for conversations about hidden symbols.

I can see how girls would love wearing a feather necklace after reading this book.

Kid's Christian story that starts a little slowly, but picks up steam. Good for 6-9 year olds.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for my honest review.
