If your backyard features a pool and a deck, this is the best place to relax after a long hot day or spend your weekend there. You may think that a small backyard isn’t a place for swimming, but this isn’t true – there are lots of small backyard pools that can be squeezed into even the tightest outdoor space. Need examples? Round Pools
A small round pool is a great idea for a backyard: it can be a stock tank pool that is pretty easy to DIY, and though it’s small, it will be enough for a refresh, your kids and pets will be delighted, too! Style the deck around it with some outdoor furniture, an umbrella, cool decor and potted plants, add soem funny colorful floats to the pool and voila – a lovely and relaxing space is ready!

Narrow Pools
A narrow and long pool is your way out if you have a matching backyard. If you have enough space, you may include a deck – clad with wood, tiles, stone, bricks and with comfortable furniture that fits your space – rattan, wood, wicker or any other. If you don’t have space at all, go for a very tight deck with some pillows and cushions or skip the deck and go for lining up the pool with greenery and blooms to make the space feel wild. A pool with literally no deck and an access through some sliding doors is a great idea if you want a pool but it seems that you don’t have space for a real pool area. A narrow pool is also a nice idea if you don’t have much space and want to accommodate a pool, a dining area and some loungers to keep the zone more entertaining.

Small Pools
If your outdoor space isn’t that long and narrow, you may try a plunge pool of a more square shape or even go irregular and add waterfall for a natural touch. Go for a comfortable pool with built-in benches, platforms and seats and build a deck around – covered with wood, tiles, stone or any other material that fits. The loungers can be placed right on the platforms in your pool, or if you are going for a raised pool, create some seats inside to chill. If you don’t have much space, go for a deck that is styled like steps, that will make it larger and you won’t need additional loungers in here. If you have enough space , place some outdoor furniture and accessories around and believe me – you won’t want to leave this space this summer!
